Now Accepting Video Auditions for the 2025-2026 Season
Join Continuum Vocal Ensemble — an innovative, artist-driven vocal collective reshaping the choral experience in St. Louis.
We are currently accepting video auditions from experienced ensemble singers who are passionate about high-level music-making, adventurous programming, and collaborative artistry.
Finalists from the video auditions will be selected for an in-person callback.
Those selected from the callback audition will be placed on the Continuum roster and may be invited to perform in projects throughout the season, based on ensemble needs and availability.
Audition Requirements
Please submit a single, unedited video that includes the following:
- 🎵 Scales on a Neutral Syllable
Perform two one-octave scales — one ascending and descending from your lowest comfortable note, and one ascending and descending to your highest comfortable note. Use a neutral syllable (e.g., “ah” or “oo”) to demonstrate vocal range, clarity, and control. - 🎶 Thirty-Second Solo Excerpt
Sing a brief (30-second) unaccompanied excerpt from a melody that best showcases your tone, intonation, and musical sensitivity. Acceptable options include:- An art song
- A brief aria
- A folk tune of your choosing
Both the scales and solo excerpt must be recorded in one continuous take without accompaniment. Please upload your video to YouTube and submit the shareable link via the audition form.
Additional Materials
Please upload a one-page CV that includes:
- Your educational background
- Vocal and choral experience, with emphasis on ensemble singing
- Any relevant performance highlights or conducting/collaborative work

We welcome applications from all voice parts.
Local residency is preferred; non-local singers must cover their own travel to St. Louis for all engagements.
